At some point in our lives, I believe that it’s crucial to get out and see the world. It’s too easy, to get stuck in our lives, surround by the same walls and borders for years at a time. If you has most travelers, they will tell you the best times of their lives were spent traveling.

Those people who have the most free time on their hands, seem to be the ones that do most of the traveling. Those people would be of course the ones without permanent jobs to tie them down. Mostly the pre or post college age crowd, as well as the retired crowd. Everyone else seems too busy.

So, this article is to address both those age groups, as they are the ones with skinny wallets, and light purses. Not having a real job, has a tendency to do that to people.

Middle aged people are usually too busy to look for cheap airline tickets, and do a bit of traveling. Raising kids, paying bills, and commuting to work seem to occupy much of their time. While, it may not seem entirely fair, it does seem to be the way it is.

I know if I was traveling more, I’d be looking for dirt cheap airline tickets. I can think of better ways to spend my money on than burning jet fuel. Discount and no frills airlines, usually just means I get to eat at nicer bistros, and check in at some fancier hotel lobbies. Some people may need first class seating, but not me.

It’s not easy getting bargain airline tickets, or everybody would be doing it. Then what kind of mess would the airlines be in. Well, there are a few ticks and tips you can employ, to increase your chances of betting the best ticket prices possible.

Be a little footloose and fancy free, when picking dates for your travel. You’ll have more fun planning the trip, and save yourself some money as well. Being open minded about when you travel usually means more money in your pocket for the finer things on vacation.

If your ever at the departure gate, and the attendants ask for volunteers to give up their seats, go for it. It usually means a free ticket for you on a later flight.

I have a habit of waiting for the last minute to get anything done. If you do when booking flights, your going to spend more money. So, if your looking to save a few bucks, then book early and keep your money for better stuff.

Say away from flying between Friday through Monday. That’s the busiest time at airports and for airlines. As a result of that demand for tickets, they can charge more money, and they do. Tuesday through Thursday is the least expensive times to get dirt cheap airline tickets.
